DVDs: maybe crack would be cheaper?

So, yesterday, after getting poked and prodded at the doctor's, I decided to run up to Best Buy to spend my last gift card. I wandered around for about an hour before finally deciding on something, the two Talespin boxsets that are currently out . . . even with the $15 gift card, I still spent 40 bucks. I'm a little annoyed since I just found out the first set only has the chopped up for syndication version of the pilot, but other than that the sets are decent. No extras but I don't expect that when Di$ney is involved.

Oh, and for amazon.com's anime sale, I went with Gunslinger Girl. I did like what I saw of Trinity Blood on Adult Swim, but they probably used every vampire cliche in the book in that one and frankly I'm bored of cliches.

Oh, and Zack and Wiki is pure win, now that I've gotten my claws on it. It's SO Japanese, complete with bits of Engrish in the sparse voice acting (sparse as in there's only a couple of samples per character and they get reused a lot), but you wouldn't want it any other way. I'm happy they didn't redo the voices, it would've taken away a lot of it's charm. Some of the puzzles are downright evil (particularly a certain mirror puzzle in one boss level), but that just makes it better when you figure things out. If you have a Wii and like pirates and puzzles (people have said it reminds them of the Monkey Island series, even) go snag yourself a copy of this game.
