Converted

I have terrible circulation. My hands and feet are constantly cold, extremely so in the winter time. As such I have collected many fuzzy socks to wear. dragons_grin has teased me by calling them skinned muppets. My totally mature response was to stick my tongue out at him.

I love my fuzzy socks. They're fun and soft and quirky. And yet ... my feet are still cold.

Enter the knit sock.

Oh.
My.
Gods.

Warm, soft, pretty, colorful. All my buttons are pushed. To add to that? When I wear them with my loafers (which chronically slip off) there's no slipping! They finally fit perfectly. I'm strange when it comes to shoes; they're a touch too large but a half size either direction is completely the wrong size. This is a perfect fix.

I won't be tossing out my normal socks anytime soon, mainly because I don't have enough knit socks to replace them. But I'll certainly be working harder to get more socks made to fill my sock drawer. I may never pay for a pair of thin, store bought socks again.

Yeah, we all know that's a lie because I can't resist the pretty colors and designs of the silly socks but I do have a very strong love for one I've made myself.

cold, clothes, knitting
