Happy Birthday to you all, I hope that your day is/was fantastic and that the coming year brings each and every one of you nothing but happiness.
Catching up:
So, I kind of fell off the side of the internet there for a few days. Nobody missed me but that's okay. *wink* I was simply beyond whelmed there at the end with stress, frustration, and hurt. So I spent most of this past week sleeping, spending good quality time with the Nox Puppy, or working on knitting stuff.
Shakespeare:
We caught A Midsummer Night's Dream and Much Ado About Nothing at Miller Outdoor Theater last weekend and I absolutely loved both. Finding out about Miler has been one of the best things, it's a great venue, great acting, and a wonderful experience every time. I do wish that either the mics had been set a bit better or the actors had spoken more clearly during Much Ado About Nothing as it was harder to understand them though it was a little clearer during the second half. They did old English during both plays so that wasn't the problem. Either way I'm keeping an eye on their calendar and eagerly awaiting all the cool things they have lined up in the future.
Crafty Stuff:
I finished the shawl I was working on for Mimi and got it mailed off. Silly me only got pictures while it was pinned out for blocking and forgot to get any others before I sealed it up. *facepalm* Hopefully I can talk Mimi or Summer (my sister who lives up there) into getting a few more pictures of it. As for what I'm working on now though:
Radiating Star Blanket - in progress, a bit each night
Electric Leaves - Same Triangular Leaves Pattern in a bright blue since I have it memorized, in progress, mostly worked on our of the house
Traveling Woman - Finally in progress, with a blue, green, and brown multi colored yarn
Socks - Finally! A super soft purple, almost ready to start the heel on the first one but enjoying it.
Lagoon Afghan - in progress, a bit each evening before Lynn comes home.
Gaming:
We've been doing a fair amount of gaming, finally mostly up to 5th lvl after taking out a zombie dragon and having to roll up a secondary character for me (half-orc barbarian to go along with my *ahem* elf). We're still joining the group at Midnight Comics each Monday night for the DarkSun campaign and enjoying that as well. Hopefully a friend will be joining us for our personal game next weekend. I'd love to get more people to join us but unless we find more room somewhere we're stuck with keeping it limited.
Stress:
I can deal with stress for a bit fairly well for quite a bit longer than people sometimes expect. However this past month simply kicked my ass. I ended up not eating much and yet gaining weight, itching constantly, not sleeping, the thought of being intimate nearly made me ill, and the pièce de résistance ... having dreams about being with D (the abusive ex) again. I'm calmer now, having gotten lots of sleep, and things are looking better. But that would all be the reason why I dropped off the internet for a bit. I simply couldn't deal any longer. I've lost a friend or two over my not posting but my mental demons were in the drivers seat for a bit. So I'll be back to posting, reading, and sporadically commenting now. Please let me know if there's anything you really think I should see.
