Weekend and Hobbies

The weekend was mostly organizing and more unpacking. Saturday we took a break for a trip to Goodwill and the grocery store. I cast on for the triangular leaf shawl just to see if I could. I dropped a stitch somewhere in row 17 or 18 but by getting that far I proved to myself that I could do it and SK2P is way easier than I thought. I found a really good site to explain various stitches, KnittingHelp.com, that also has good videos which I need to understand a lot of what I'm doing.

I'm feeling pretty disconnected lately, mostly in the online world. I'm happy with the things I'm getting done offline. I have 3 new dreamcatcher designs completed and I started the final in the Rainbow Series today. I'm making progress on the lagoon afghan. I'm finally getting started on shawls in knitting like I've wanted to. I'm still doing the daily tarot, though I skipped this weekend. We got the Wii set back up this weekend, though we'll have to move it again in a few weeks. Either way, we've gone without working out for over a month and we're both feeling the hurt on that. Next up to add to my daily things is writing again and working on organizing my Book of Shadows.

I guess it's just part of the cycle of things, pulling away from online pursuits for things in the real world. Though for me it's also pulling away from the only social circle I have. That's actually a bit bothering .. I don't want fewer people in my life ... just more meaningful contact.
