Friday Miss Kidd and I hung out here at the house. I did a bit of work on a dreamcatcher and such while she played on the computer. We watched The Nutcracker and some other christmas shows on Hulu. It was a nice quiet day.
Saturday was a busy day. We got all the food together that we'd be taking to the party. We took strawberries and a pina colada dip, marinated mushrooms, an olive mix that we spread over slices of baguette, and an appetizer tray with pearl onions, two kinds of olives, sweet pickles and dills. Apparently the olive mix was really good as we had a couple people tracked us down at the party to tell us how much they liked it. I also took my cthulhu santas and used them as martini glass markers since he's perfect to guard my drink. I actually won third place in the best of show contest! *glee* I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed myself ... though next time I will drink a bit less. Heh, I was bad but I've learned my lesson.
The theme of the party was James Bond 007 so thus you get pictures like this and this. And I prove that you can do 3 feet of hair into an updo.
Before the party we dropped Miss Kid off at her grandparents for the evening and good thing they'd asked to keep her until 2ish the next afternoon. We didn't get home from the party until 4:30 and didn't get to bed until 6. We rolled back out of bed around 10am to get on with our day and go spend some time with Miss Kid and her grandparents before we had to take her back to her mother's.
It's been a fantastic weekend. How about you?
