Final Recap

Jul 30, 2006 07:32

If you're just tuning in and you're confused by all the posts.

It's Blogathon 2006. I made a post every thirty minutes to raise money for First Book, they give children from low-income families the opportunity to read and own their first new books. Sponsor Me, please! It's not too late.Your sponsorship will help underprivileged children have the opportunity to read and own their first book. Help fix the illiteracy problems, donate. Don't be one of those people complaining about stupidity, help educate.

We made it to $37! Thanks to my amazing sponsors, Lj-less Rachael, llama_go_moooo, treker03, googlebrat, and mbjennedy7! That's really much better than I expected for my first time.

For Blogathon totals: 285 Blogs raised $96,728.68.

If my charity is not too your liking then please sponsor one of these amazing bloggers.

Stop by shadesong's journal where she is blogging for RAINN (the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network). One dollar facilitates one phone call to RAINN's hotline.Even if you can only donate $5, that's five calls, five people helped.

Visit llama_go_moooo who is blogging for Heifer Project International. Oh, before I forget, there were poor kittens in danger of being eaten (they were, then zombiefied and brought back to life). Please donate to llama_go_moooo to save the poor kitties. *nods* Think of the kitties!

There's slipjig who is blogging for International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission. He was being beset by pornmongers and was quickly running out of hiding places. But! He did not have to resort to porn to make it through.

And last but certainly not least, go visit dustyhawk and donate. He's been a great monitor and kept the encouragement coming. And he was featured on the home page of www.Blogathon.org. Congrats!

Thank you to all my wonderful friends for helping keep me awake and going. Thanks to everybody who read, enjoyed, and commented. I'm here to entertain. :)
