I insisted on buying super cheap fabric to give this pattern a try. It wasn't actually a pattern, more like a collection of measurements and sort of instructions. Because of that I didn't want to try it on the super pretty fabric that Toan was going to order from China. This was we could work out measuring and fit issues, if any.
I'm rather happy with the experiment and it's held up a lot better than expected. Plus now I have a better idea of how to place the various ties and how I'll hide edges. Plus we're going to use the same material as the trim for the ties, less raw edges hanging about.
I love how Toan has fun with it and always poses. He's silly and makes me laugh. And now he has some super lightweight garb to wear during the hot summer months ... but with different pants.
