DW Fiber Fest Purchases

Apr 01, 2014 10:48

Okay time to share all the pretty things I bought last Saturday. And this was me behaving ...

The only actual yarn I bought, though I was incredibly tempted by ever so many others. It's 75/25 Yak Down/Bamboo and so incredibly soft.

Typically these colors do nothing for me but this time around it grabbed me and shook me, demanded to be brought home. I think it's the sparkly. It's a mix of Silk, Merino, and Firestart (which is the sparkly bit).

The lighter blue is actually a bit more teal tinged ... but you work with what you get when you take pictures at nearly midnight. This one is a 80/20 Merino/Tussah Silk.

I've only played with Silk Hankies once but oh I adore them. I'm thinking about combining these two together when I spin them.

This is an unknown mix of wool. I was talking to the owner and mentioned that I'd just recently purchased a spinning wheel but hadn't had much time with it. She asked if I'd tried rolags yet and I said no. She gave me these to try.

I'm not sure of the mix of wool on this one either. I saw it from 4 booths away though and simply had to have it. It steals my breath away in a lovely way and I really can't wait to see what it becomes.

This is Blue Faced Leicester Wool which I can get anywhere but the color drew me in. I think I see a shawl here, we'll see how I end up spinning it.

There were so many more that I wanted to bring home with me. I can't wait to see what all these lovely fibers become.
