Friday was my last day at CAP5 so I finished packing up my things and made sure everything was handed off to the right person.
We'd promised to take Miss Kid to Kubla Khan since she hadn't been there so once I got home we headed out. She was a little nervous as mixing the various flavors but I told her to just go for it. Once she had the meats and veggies that she wanted I helped with the seasonings and sauce. She was very pleased with the final result.
I stayed up very late playing Dungeon Siege and chatting with a friend who'd perhaps had a bit much to drink. But I love my friends and I'm glad that I can be there for them.
Saturday we were up early to head to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. I'd given Miss Kid my repaired camera as a birthday present and she wanted to play with it. We worked a little on working with the lighting you're given and adjusting for up close shots versus whole picture shots. She was rather pleased with several of her pictures once I loaded them to the computer. They've all been saved to DropBox so she can access them anywhere.
Sunday we hit up fighter practice. I haven't been in nearly a month so it was lovely to see my friends again.
Overall it was a good weekend, relaxing, a slightly slower pace than I've had lately. I suspect it was needed.
So today I've taken my run, painted my nails, had a shower, and filed for unemployment (not that I'm eligible).
