Friday night was a game night. We met up with friends to play Edge of Space. It was a very interesting game and a lot of fun. TPK but a 'fun' TPK! We all ended up as zombies and I got to infect Lynn! We also had Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner and I swiped on of the Mango Habanero that I'd ordered for Lynn. My first clue should have been that it burned when I breathed in just before biting into it. Tasty ... but HOT!
Saturday was so busy! We got my new monitor from MicroCenter and oh my gods it's gorgeous!! I ended up with a Lenovo, I think it's a 21.5inch. It's just ... incredible detail. We also picked up new makeup for me. It's been years since I actually bought makeup that wasn't a quick "crap, I need powder, I'll grab the cheapest stuff". And I've 'never' bought decent makeup. So I was a bit out of my element. Lynn suggested I grab a girlfriend and get them to help me pick colors and quality. I couldn't think of anybody that'd have time to help so I'm making due as I can. I do love the shades of powder and base that I got, it's a very close match for my natural coloring. We also picked up a new microwave since ours died this past week and a toaster since we've been without that for almost a year.
Saturday night was a trip to Miller Outdoor for a T.U.T.S. performance of Disney's High School Musical Jr. with local kid actors. It was a great performance and the two leads in particular were amazing.
Sunday was fighter practice of course but we followed it up with dinner at Pradaria since Lynn had been begging for roast pork. I yet again fell in love with their lamb chops. That is some serious heaven in a bite. Plus I finally got to try their creme brulle. Not as good as I've had elsewhere, and not as good as their tres leche cake but still a very nice ending to an incredible dinner.
It was a really good weekend. A lot of love and laughter shared, a bit of reclaiming me. At one point I was singing along with the radio and Lynn glanced over and smiled. He pointed out that I was finally singing again, after months of not. I'd stopped because of stress and I'd finally dumped the stress so now I was feeling free to be me again. It feels really good to not have to worry about upsetting an unbalanced apple cart. Freedom is a lovely thing.
