Chocolate Cables

Apr 26, 2013 11:10

This is the second pair of socks I saw for this yarn. See, this yarn came to me after I ran out of yarn at the toe of the second sock. Sadly, this yarn was quite obviously lighter than the other yarn. So those socks are still languishing in the cubby hole of my desk while I work toward getting the right yarn to finish them with.

These however are finished!

I knit these two at a time on the same circular. I've since decided that I really don't like the short row heel for toe up socks so in the future I'll have to find something else.

Aren't those cables awesome? Most were done without a cable needle since I lost mine early on. The grass at fighter practice has eaten it. Faced with buying a new one and having to find something else to work on, I went searching for ways to cable without a needle.

These aren't the chocolate socks I've been dreaming of, but they're a nice, comfy second.
