Re:fun is what you're making of it. But what is it making of you?gabrielhorseAugust 24 2010, 17:51:37 UTC
First off, if it isn't like what we understand, why call it intent? You desire to give something human traits but try to cover yourself by saying it isn't OUR kind of intent. Your desire to make animals friends shapes your perceptons to the point you start giving them qualities they dont have while simultaneously ignoring many of the qualities they DO have, merely because they do not synchronize with your ideals. This is a behavior you learned from other people, BTW. And, like all behaviors humans learn, it is self-justifying regardless of how irrelavent or groundless it is merely because the person using it wants it to be so. In short, you tell me they have intent because you want them to. WTF am I gonna do with that? I can neither prove or disprove- but neither can you clearly explain what you mean by this vague, misleading use of knoweledge.
Instinct isn't reason or logic. A baby doesn't cry with intent when it's born- but over time it comes to find adults respond favorably to that noise because they have been conditioned by their culture to do so. Crying=bad. Making baby stop=good. No real thought goes into any of it. If there was real thought involved, than the parents would consistently NOT respond to their child's cries to discourage the child from doing so in the future. They eventually stop complying anyway, but only after they manage to put a little thought behind their actions instead of responding reactively, as the pushing influence of thought has encouraged them for most of their lives. People are fairly mindless wjile trying to keep alive the illusion they actually think- animals have that one advantage. They don't know they don't think but they don't try to pretend they do.
"Friends" and "enemies" are merely labels people use. I'll chat with a person all day long, but the moment they start calling me "friend" is the moment they start coming over for a light, borrowing a few dollars, looking for a place to sleep. Friends I don't need, or particularly want. People who'll listen without acting too stupid;y is far more preferable. But, in the end, as long as they don't affect my life, people can beleive whatever wished- for reality they want, it's always good for a laugh at their expense.
