The clock was very interesting, although I think I am only more confused about this place and how it runs, not less. If there is any magic at work on it, it isn't the kind I am familiar with. I find myself more curious about the creatures we encountered on the trip down. Were they once citizens and have been trapped so long here that they've no sense of themselves? Were they made by the little gods to protect and guard the clockwork mechanism? Are they the cursed who were never released at midnight? They certainly seem to have a strong taste for flesh.
The more I stay here, the less I seem to understand. It is like being ironside.
