Co-workers on FB have made work related rants unsafe, lol.

So I'd really like to know what kind of a business is ok with the fact that someone works nearly a year for you, in childcare no less, without all the proper paperwork, and the district manager finds it completely acceptable and understandable.

I was approached by the boss yesterday and told that after SEVEN MONTHS of working for them, they realized I never turned in my high school diploma and if I didn't have it in to them by Tuesday "... don't bother coming into work." That part is a quote, wtf. One, I turned in everything she asked for, so she obviously didn't ask me for it, and too, I graduated 6 years ago, and have no clue where it is, so I asked her how I go about getting it or a copy and was told "It's not my problem, figure it out." What? Seriously?! And when I asked her how she could possibly have someone working here for almost a year and didn't have important papers NEEDED to get the job, she said that she didn't have an assistant at the time, so never went through the stuff I turned in. That she just throws it on her desk and it gets buried and misplaced.

o_O WHAT?! I mean, she actually said this! These exact words came from her mouth, and she didn't see a problem with it! What's more, is that I was so upset I called our District Manager (you know, the head honcho over our WHOLE FREAKING AREA) and she found it completely acceptable and told me "Well at least she gave you a week; she didn't even have to give you that."

Hah, and the plot thickens. I just got off the phone with my old high school and was told that they can order a transcript but they only provide one diploma and I'm basically shit outta luck, and she too was in disbelief that my job won't accept a transcript. IT SAYS ON THE TRANSCRIPT GRADUATED! With all my hours and shit! What the hell, what would they do if an older person started working there, someone who graduated 15, 20 years ago. They're not gonna keep that thing! Seriously, I can't find my camera I had last month. A piece of paper from 6 years ago, that's laughable you think I'd be able to keep up with that.

I have my cap, I can photocopy that maybe? Ugh, whatever, maybe I'll just wake up early, tear it up this weekend looking for a job, and just not COME back next week. But seriously, am I overreacting to this?

st00pid pplz, i need to make a time machine, work wtf
