Day after Mother's Day...

May 14, 2007 12:12

I've started to have more time to actually read and catch up a few things around the traps, and have realised that really, if I don't write/post, then hell, what's the point of keeping a journal? So, seeing's this is my non-pup, non-writing, therefore hopefully non-drama LJ (though thankfully I've managed to steer clear of the main causes of those things for a while now, so am planning on keeping that up, as angst-free writing fun is just so much better stuff!) I'm going to try and take a leaf out of cocoajava's book... er ... journal... you know, one of these things, and post, if I can ever think of something worth posting.

But then as a friend said recently that she's started to write for herself, not for what responses or feedback she gets from others, so that's a pretty good creedo also, I think.

So, in the spirit of Mother's Day the kids and I went out to lunch yesterday, ended up having a wonderfully pleasant afternoon and enjoyed some great fun entertainment, and bubble-blowing (the place we went to had tiny plastic bubble-blowing things on the tables and the kids discovered them and had a ball!) as a young guy did a whole lot of numbers from 'yesterday' which had a table of old folk singing along and enjoying themselves. Simple, pure enjoyment, and a terrific way to spend the afternoon.
