I signed up for the fanfic100 way back, but then relinquished my pairing as I realized I was biting off more than I could chew! I'm having a lot of fun reading what others are writing though, so yay! I'd follow along with whomever you choose.

And now that your busy work season is over... guess who's is gearing up? Everyone thinks summers at University must be like a playday every day... but no. Our fiscal year ends June 30, and we have to hammer out complicated, large budgets for the upcoming year that starts July 1st. Anyway... the upshot is that another month or so and I'll be the one flailing. Why weren't we all born rich???

Actually I just remembered something I needed to look up in the FAQ but forgot, and that's what size they regard as minimum. Whether it's OK to do drabbles, or if they have to be of a certain size. Can you remember or did you notice?

Juuuuuust looked!

What is the minimum word count? Can I write a haiku?
One hundred words is minimum to count as a fic. You can write a series of haikus, or a poem, if you want.

Oh thanks for that! Glad to hear drabble length is OK, cuz sometimes that's all they'll give.

And re your EoY being June, that's the official EoY for us here too, so I know what you mean.

Any idea what's happening with WC2 plot-wise yet?

At the moment, all we know is evil beasties are approaching Tirith, whoever's left in the city's indulgin in gossip, fear and rumors, and everyone's poised for war.

Any Visitors that remember Tolkien's books and plot are freaked the hell out right about now. Especially those in the city, as they know certain things should be happening, and those things arent'. There should be a couple of hobbits in town, and unless someone refers to them in a narrative style or NPC's em (I'm willing to try Pippin), the Visitors have VERY good reason to think that they've altered reality by their appearance and are DOOMED, I tell you DOOMED.

Or somesuch. I had no time this past week to confer with mods and I believe one is out of town this weekend. Being on vacation now means I can try to snag people for some conferring starting on Monday. In the meantime, carry on! Panic and mayhem are always in style.

LOL @ DOOMED. Was wondering re Jack, whether he's still in a drunken stupor, or whether to have him sober up. Being that there's really only two pups he'd talk with I'm guessing leaving him in a drunken stupor is probably the best bet.

Feh! Only two pups? I refuse to believe it! Let's go outside the box and plunder NPC land. There's weary barmaids to flirt up, there's empty buildings to search for leftover treasure, there's guards at the gates that could stand to be confused and get a faceful of booze-breath, there's chattery folk all *over* the Houses, and with Jack's bumbling ways, I'd think it would be REAL easy to get the poor sap under Ioreth's care. He might even be forced to sober up just enough to get a real snootful of his surroundings and his own impending DOOM!!!!! And when everything hits the fan, we can always find him a rope to swing about on. Actually, he'd be damned good in a fight.....

Well, last seen he was sprawled on the bed with Stuart. Sound asleep. Who knows what the heck happened when they woke up.
