it's a new holiday tradition...
the christmas season is supposed to be a great time of the year, right?
so how come we've had the shittiest luck here lately?
our dog disappeared Saturday morning
we don't know for sure if it was stolen or if it just got off it's chain and ran away
and right before we were supposed to come down to louisiana this weekend, too
on top of that...earlier today me and mike got into a wreck out on I-10 near baton rouge
we hit 3 indian guys in a car ahead of us
and some woman hit us hard enuf to knock our bumper loose a little
everyone was alright, although the woman disappeared quicker than a pizza at a weight watchers meeting
she was around long enuf to find out if we were okay
she said something to mike that made him think she was gonna move her car
next thing we know she gets in her car and hauls ass away, fleeing the scene
we managed to make it back to mike's folks' place alright
our radiator got pushed back a bit and the hood's a little screwed up now
my parents are just gonna love hearing this story
considering how my dad just loves to rub in the fact that mike doesn't have a good track record with cars
neither do I for that matter, but that's not the point
then of course when his mom, sister and brother in law got to the scene...
we got questioned about whether we were on anything or not
not like it really mattered actually
someone ahead of the 3 Habeebs swerved causing them to hit their brakes real suddenly
it didn't exactly leave us with any other choice but to hit them
it was totally unavoidable for us
and mike wound up with a bloody ticket out of the whole deal, too
we got a ticket for "following too close"
there were a lot of people out on the interstate
lots of crazy coon-ass drivers going pretty fast and there weren't really all that many lags in the traffic pattern that I remember
even if we could've gotten into the other lane, it wouldn't have been an option
too many people hauling ass in our near vacinity...
so our car's not exactly totalled...it drove pretty well all the way back here
we're just gonna have to take it easy on the way back home
not to mention his folks don't think its a good idea to go off anywhere in the car
not after being involved in the wreck anyway...
I'm not sure what all else to report here tonight
