I love this country.
We have an MP who hitch-hikes to parliament. We used to have one that skateboarded to parliament. They walk around in public without bodyguards or cavalcades of black cars. We don't have to worry about that much security, because really, who's gonna invade us? We have more sheep than people. We're close to Antarctica and have beautiful scenery. Oh, and some resources.
We had gun emplacements on coasts during WWII, but really, Australia is both bigger and more important than us. In the event that we did get invaded - maybe someone invents a super weapon that runs on sheep - well, we have a few fighter planes that don't always work and our military strategy relies on people not being able to find Devonport or Linton on a map. It's not really a good idea to depend on it, but in the event, Oz would probably come bail us out anyway.
