June 25 - Boehmeria Tricuspis, I always knew you'd be this beautiful
Series: Air Gear
Rating: G
Characters: Kazu, unspecified
Spoilers: General, I guess
AN: Boehmeria Trucuspis is a type of false nettle - a chinese one, I think. A false nettle is a plant that looks like a nettle but doesn't sting.
One of Mikura Kazuma's less remarked upon traits is his ability to blend in.
He can fit in almost any crowd, be accepted in almost any company (except, perhaps, for the ones he doesn't accept himself in).
'Mimicry', it's called, and you've done some research on this. The implication of the word is using similarities to something else for defense, to make an organism look more dangerous than it truly is. It implies... weakness. Cunning weakness, but weakness nonetheless.
But there is another form of mimicry, where instead of looking dangerous, the creature looks harmless. And these ones can often be much more dangerous than those that flash their fancy markings.
So, you think as you prepare to fight him, all that remains is to confirm which category Kazuma falls into.
