Yeah, I know it's been forever since I updated... well really not that long. I just have either been too busy or not in the mood. And it's not like there's much to talk about. I'm still alive, as I said. I haven't lost any more weight. I'm still hovering around 55-60 pounds lost since I started. But I have started exercising regularly again so we shall see what that brings. My heart and all that has been going on with it... well... truthfully it's been the healthiest in a while. Nothing is specifically better, I mean, I still have the irregular heartbeat... but it's not bothering me as much. There are still the 'bad' days, but that's to be expected I guess.
Anyway... busy couple of months coming up. Memorial Day weekend... thank god. Then June 15th, 16th and 17th, I'm taking off from work for my sister's awards ceremony, graduate dinner and graduation. We're also moving at work from one building to another. That takes place on June 15th. At least I'll be one train stop closer to home. LOL
Then in July I have 4th of July off... so another 3 day weekend... and then off from July 9th until July 25th. That translates into 2 full weeks of vacation. I can't wait for it. Half of that time will be spent in Los Angeles and San Diego, with
galahadrpi,
crufix, and
cmojess!
The other half of that time will hopefully be spent doing some stuff around NYC. There was possibility of me flying to Florida to spend time with
nycsunshine when I got back from California.... but that was mutually postponed for a later time.
Ah well... work is ok. Stressful, but stress I can deal with. It's good one-on-one work, almost like counseling sessions. The stress comes not really from dealing with the clients, but from dealing with other staff members who can't leave us alone in the DVE department. Since when does "when you get a chance" mean "I want it right now" and since when does the closed door with "Out to Lunch" not mean anything? It's crazy but we're dealing with it.
And anyway... I've officially proclaimed Snow Patrol as my favorite band of 2005. There is nothing exactly like them. And you can imagine my surprise when I found out they have 2 other albums that were released previously in the UK! (Yes I ordered them. LOL)
I got 2 tickets to see Tori Amos on August 17th at Jones Beach (IN THE ORCHESTRA SECTION!). So my only problem is getting there... since it's way out on Long Island and I don't drive. If I can't get Suri to drive me, I'll have to take the Long Island Rail Road to Freeport and take a bus. Not wonderfully fun. Nope. But I WILL get there somehow. I've never been to an outdoor concert before. I hope it doesn't rain and it's not too hot. It shouldn't be too bad right by the ocean.
Still reading Stephen King's Wolves of the Calla, Dark Tower V. It's a very good book. Enjoying it as much as the first 3. (We skip over the 4th one on principle.) I love time travel/interdimensional travel stories. And this one has an old west setting... odd... but good. As they say... it all comes down to Ka. And Ka is like the wind. It wil come in and sweep you off your feet. Some people may try to change it or fight it, but in the end, Ka always gets its way. (Replace Ka with the more common term.... destiny or fate.)
Ok well I think that's long enough for now. And NO, Jess, I still haven't seen Star Wars Episode III so DO NOT tell me anything about it. :)
