help a fangirl out? (Star Trek question)

I just saw the new Star Trek movie, and enjoyed it muchly.

So now I'm wondering where to go for a quick fix of meta and squee related to the movie. (I'm assuming there can't be much fic yet, but I'm sure there's some in the pipeline!) Thing is, what with Star Trek being pretty much the mother of all fandoms, I have no idea where to start looking ( Read more... )

I honestly have not gone looking for fic yet. But a friend I saw the movie with a few weeks ago is all about Spock/Uhura now. I can ask her for recs if that's what you want to ship. I'm told the new movie is being called nu-Star Trek (New Universe?) but a quick search using that term results in nothing, so I don't know.

So, basically, I am the least helpful person ever here. But I shall share in your enjoyment of the Star Trek movie.

Oddly enough, Spock/Uhura was exactly what I wanted most after seeing the movie! A canon, het ship, who'd'a thunk it? So yeah, if your friend has any recs, I'd be interested. (Wait, two weeks ago? There are people who saw it two weeks ago? I thought it just opened this weekend! I do not understand the ways of the world anymore. Hm, so I guess there could very well be fic already!)

I got free tickets to an advanced preview. Was an awesome experience seeing it way early with a group of excited geeks *G*

I've asked my friend for recs. You might want to start with spock_uhura in the meantime :-)
