I just read , and it has redeemed itself in my eyes.
So awesome. I love how Chiyo-baa and Sakura work together--puppet!Sakura rocks my socks--and how, yeah, Sakura's not Mary Sue-ish strong, but she's grown up and she's not useless anymore either. She's a kunoichi of Konoha, and she's not gonna stand behind her boys anymore, she's gonna fight with them. And Chiyo = Love^10. Seriously. Coolest old lady ever.
Sasori looks like a little girl. What's with the Akatsuki and eye make-up? He and Itachi must both use about a bottle of mascara each morning.
Other than that...I really, really wanna see Naruto and Kakashi and Team Gai back in action. But I don't mind really seeing as how I'm enjoying Sakura and Chiyo-baa. (Although to tell the truth I thought Sakura was gonna use some cool medic-nin stuff instead of just exploding the poison).
I'm beginning to think that the theory someone proposed about medic-nin focusing mostly on taijutsu is accurate. Sakura hasn't used any ninjutsu or genjutsu yet, and everything she's done is strictly physical. Which is a good idea if you're saving your chakra to heal potentially injured comrades, because you don't use up all your chakra and then run dry right when someone's dying and needs your help. And I can't help kind of hoping that if that's so, maybe she's been training with Lee as well as Tsunade...except she still seems so fixated on Sasuke. Get over him, girl!

In other news, I'm trying to restart work on Wolf Mask Chapter Six and Masks and Shadows Chapter Four, and I still need ideas for character-centric one-shots. Any suggestions or requests?
