Guess who got a job . . . ?
That's right! I have an induction for River Island tomorrow. I didn't see that coming at all, I thought the manager had snuffed out my bullshittings on paper (read: my application). My passion for fashion and feeling that I'd be "in my element" on the shop floor are obviously commendable efforts, whether true or a slight fabrication. Either way, fuck it, I got a job!
I was also offered a 2-day job in Next for their summer sale next weekend. Coincidentally, it's the same weekend as I'm starting in RI, so nevermind. Hopefully I'll get loads of overtime; it's only a 4 hour contract. There should be plenty, though, I'm sure.
I've been severely lacking in LJ-postage recently, it seems that I just can't be bothered to update very often. Luckily, this is because I've been actually doing things, as opposed to sitting watching tennis all day. As fun as that was, it's also very tiring. Anyway, yeah. I've been out a lot and have Heather's birthday tonight and her garden party on Sunday to look forward to. I'm also going to Newcastle on Saturday to meet Laura and Cameron! (Is Livy coming?) So that'll be good. There has also been talk of going to Edinburgh Zoo sometime next week. My mum's just told me it's expensive to get in, so I'm gonna check it out so as everyone knows how much money they'll need.
Umm that's about all I have to mention, I think. Must go read this book I bought (Memoirs of a Geisha) before the novelty of owning it wears off and watch DVDs so I can send them back to lovefilm on time.
