Roman Polanski admitted back in 1977 to having sex with a 13 year old girl when he was in his 40's. He then flees the country to avoid having to go to jail. He knew because of his French Citizen ship he was protected from ever having to serve time for his crime as long as he didn't leave France. He has now been arrested in Switzerland and faces extradition to the US.
Can some one please tell me why everyone is up in arms and thinks he should be let go and that it is wrong to hold him accountable for his crimes. I am sure they would feel differently if it was their child that was involved.
Sometimes I am just amazed at what people are willing to forgive for someone who is famous. If this person was a no name he would have been brought to justice and put in jail a long time ago.
