Food post :]

Right, so a friend at work has been selling Tupperware and while it is a bit expensive at times I've been ordering a bit here and there because it does seem stronger and generally a little better then the stuff I buy at Wal-Mart and I tend to pay about the same amount for bentos so, eh, at least this is helping her get some money together too.

All that said my latest lunch is rather M. (friend at work) inspired so she gets a huge mention :]

My spiffy new Lunch n' Things container! I usually don't like tuna salad or anything like it but the other day M. brought in some chicken salad her mother had made and shared it with these nifty Topper crackers . I liked it, and so I decided to make my own but ended up just making salmon salad since I had bought a back to make riceballs with and never used it.

So, I chopped up onions, celery (evil veggie o' doom but seems ok here mixed in) very fine and made some garlic mayo . I kinda made is up as I wen but basically I put in one 3 oz pack of salmon, onion and celery (I chopped too much), garlic powder, soy sauce, chili oil, sesame seeds, and finally the garlic mayo to mix it all together.

When I packed it I tucked the crackers in the 'juice box' area and put plastic under the middle section before putting the salmon salad in. It's framed by some spinach leaves, banana peppers, and avocado with a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top. Some mango with a little red elephant pick at the top right and some carrot sticks that I made (peeled and cut into teeny tiny bits) with a smidget of ranch dressing. The smidget is a 1 oz container and I think it'll be handy. M. gave me one because I said they looked nifty.

I'm going in from 7pm - 7am tonight so I made another lunch so I wouldn't be tempted to order out or send out.

Simple pb & j on wheat bread with a banana. Trail mix to the side to keep me from buying or thinking of buying from the machine. Made with generic rice Chex, un-salted peanuts, cranberries, and a bag of the new Wild Cherry M&Ms. Num and it's something I can snack on. If I don't eat it all I put it in for the next day.

bento, cooking, me
