Blatherin' blatherskite!

Three weeks since I posted anytihng, huh? Wow. That's crazy. Just goes to show how caught up in everything I've been, tho. So, here's an update of a dubious degree, as I'm sure there's important stuff that I'll manage to forget.

*Dollar Tree. Is still awesome. Short shifts, fantastic co-workers, and for the most part, not too many ultra-retarded customers to deal with. (For the most part.) My managers are all really nice, and super understanding when the inevitable obstacles pop up. And I have quite a few really cool regulars.

There's an elderly couple that comes in almost every day, and they even told me yesterday that they started to worry about me when they didn't see me for 3 days. How sweet is that? I love those people.

*Amy's Graduation: was totally cool. I had a lot of fun at the BBQ, and got to see lots of awesome people and their dogs. LOL. Pop, Chris, B, and Jen even stopped by. And Mom and Tuff got to meet a lot of Amy's more extended family.

The ceremony itself wasn't much fun on my end, although I did get two or three chapters of my book read while waiting for it to begin. Basically, all the damn speeches stretched on so long that I wound up getting heat exhaustion and tossing my cookies. (Don't worry about the people around me, I made it into the men's room.)

But we sat there for quite some time, and Amy didn't even get her diploma individually. Turns out only the doctorate students got to do that this year. She maintains that she's nevr participating in another grad ceremony again. LOL. Which is fine with me, cuz I don't want to sit through another one for a long, long time.

*The new place: We have signed a few papers, but don't have keys yet, as the company needs a week or so to clean, and change the locks. Then we're going in there with a digital camera and a notebook to make note of all tiny imperfections, so we're not completely raped on our way out.

But basically, the place is really cool. It's bigger than I figured, and has quite a bit of space. The downside will be our lack of internet and cabl for the forseeable future, but we'll live. I have a shit-ton of DVDs, plus the Wii, 360, and Game Cube. And now that I've got my old DS working, there'll be a portable game system for each of us. (Amy likes to play Brain Age.)

Other: For those of you who don't read Tuff's blogs, we had Princess put down a few weeks ago. It was really sad. We had her for so long, and loved her so much, but she's not in pain anymore, and I'm glad for that. I was really down about it for quite a while, and am still prone to random little fits of sadness.

Also, I've got tendonitis in my right wrist, which kinda sucks, but I'm doing my best to ice it more than I did at first, and do my excersizes, so the muscles don't atrophy. I'm wearing a brace to work, and any time I'm out doing errands, or socially. Because it's my dominant hand, and I'm such a brain pilot, even though I realize a second too late that it's going to hurt, I still reach out to grab, carry, or manipulate things with that hand.

Acetominaphin is my friend right now. LOL.

Anyway, my computer is not very reliable right now, and just scared me that it was gonna dump this whole post, so I'll sign off. Take care, everybody!

Momentai,
Kev
