Update on the fat kid.
So, I'm officially done with McDonald's. My two weeks notice doesn't expire until Monday, but I've turned in my keys, and worked my last graveyard shift. Hopefully the very last one, ever. I can't begin to express how good it feels. Yes, there's a little bit of fear and dread about being unemployed, but the continued support of my family is making it very minimal.
A huge weight has been lifted from me. I already feel healthier, and a LOT happier. My body was just waiting for it, I think, as I've already pretty much switched back to sleeping at night.
I've got a few irons in the fire, as far as a new job goes. Though I'd be happy to have a couple weeks off just to recuperate.
I'm still bugging Hollywood to hire me, and I turned in my resume to Sweetpeas Kid's Cafe yesterday, which sounds like a really cool establishment. Hopefully they'll call me back. Even if I have to go back to fast food again, there are so many places that are way easier than where I was. I guess KFC is pretty damn simple, according to my crew people that left us for them.
And I still know people at DQ, Burger King, even 9th St. McDonald's, if I get really desperate. But I won't go back to 3rd, hopefully ever. At the very least until it's under new management.
Other than job stuff, I'm just chillin'. Playing Assassin's Creed and Lego Star Wars II on my X-Box, enjoying spending more time with my family, and actually seeing the sun more than just in passing.
If I wasn't so worried about impending expenses, life would be just about perfect. LOL.
BTW, Amy's birthday party is creeping up, as is Evan's homecoming, so be ready, everybody. We have some partying to do!
I hope everyone is doing well and/or done with finals. I know how bad that stresses everybody out.
