A bit worried about Intercon K
So, due to a mix of bad timing, random luck, and my own stupidity, I'm only playing in one game so far at Intercon. I'm waitlisted for two other games, too. The #1 spot, to be sure, but still, waitlisted. I'm okay with skipping Saturday morning and Sunday games (I like sleeeeeeeeeeping,) but I'm still 1/3 games for spots I am interested in.
Saturday morning, I had signed up for Intrigue Beneath the Waves, thinking that I had played Intrigue Beneath the Clouds at Intercon...E? Then, upon filling out the questionnaire, I realized that it had been Waves, not Cloud, and I bowed out because it was unfair for me to play again when there was a waitlist of people who presumably hadn't played at all. Saturday afternoon, I've been waitlisted for Diamonds & Coal since sign-ups, since I really want to play and I promised Julia that I'd play in one of her games after bailing on Tam-Lin last year. Then my Saturday night game got canceled because they didn't have enough players, so I signed up for Her Majesty's Parlor Adventures waitlist. I'm kicking myself because I could have gotten into play a different game in that slot that I'd really wanted to play, but missed my chance.
Ah well. C'est la vie.
But Thursday I get to participate in the Race in LARPs panel I'm really looking forward to, and there are good people and good parties that weekend, so even if I only play in a Friday night game, I won't be all ashes and sackcloth about it all. Still, I wanna LAAAAAAAAAARP.
