Yesterday, I discovered I like brussels sprouts. Or, at least I do when
teampeeta makes them. I might like them anyway, I don't know. My only other experience was when I was five or six (and thus, already cultured to hate them), my mom promised me I wouldn't have to eat them if I didn't like them (priming me already to dislike), and then making me eat them anyway. Also, they were from a can. Ew.
So who knows? I might have to try them again sometime, even without
teampeeta's delicious recipe.
It's times like this where I almost wish for a kidlet, so I could raise them without the knowledge that it's possible to dislike certain foods. I'm pretty sure most of the foods I dislike, I was raised to do so--my mom and I overlap on a lot of things we won't eat.
And then I remember how much more fun I'll have eating food without children. And all is right with the world.
EDIT: Still don't like beans, even with the savory sauce he makes on them.
