I wish I'd taken the first level of the chaos purview

Disturbed rocked so hard. We were pissed because Lacuna Coil was halfway thru their set by the time we got in. WTF? What happened to starting with some lame-ass filler band? Concert was also some all day thing. Wish there'd been some kind of communication about that. There were two other bands that played that I didn't know (Chimera and Killswitch Engaged). C was a'right, but KE was pretty cool.

I might have sorta fainted. Could have been the dehydration or the fact that I got kicked in the back of the head and neck by a flailing crowd-surfer. I developed PTSD and spent the remainder of the concert looking backwards in fear that another guy was coming my way. ranecloude and I hit the floor several times, but luckily folks were always there to snatch us up. Fuckin' mosh-pits. However, not I know what "Split up!" means at a metal concert. It means "move your ass, bitch, giant fuckin' mosh-pit forming soon!"

In other news, I hate mosh pits and crowd-surfers.

Didn't have to pay for parking (we didn't have cash and the attendent couldn't be bothered), met a creepy guy in line for the water, made some floor friends with people who also didn't like suddenly getting drawn into the mosh pit, got freaked out by a giant balloon-man (though not of the goat-footed variety) wearing a cowboy hat that actually vanished halfway through the concert, got extra-freaked out by a kid who was a)having a religious experience listening to Disturbed, b)slowly turning into a zombie, or c)both of the above.

Raj was super-wonderful and let us chill at his place till the crowds died down and we could leave in peace. Yay Raj!

I'm so tired. I just want to pass out. But I have to shower and wash my hair. Even if I wasn't incredibly filthy from the floor of the Tsongas Arena, I reek of stale beer, cigarettes and reefer. And I have no desire to skip out on a shower tonight, oversleep tomorrow, and then walk into my classroom smelling like a frat party. I wouldn't actually have posted this is I wasn't also starving; I ate lunch at 3pm and haven't eaten since.

Disturbed was so amazing. Their encore rocked. And, they played "Into the Fire" and "Shout," which made me very happy. David Draiman is too hot (and talented!) for words, though I could've skipped the sermon in the middle of the set.

i will destroy humanity, musicality, cool stuff 4 me, ramblings
