In case it wasn't already abundantly clear...

...kadath rules. LibraryThing has an Early Reviewers group which gets advanced copies of books from publishers, gives them to members to be read and reviewed. I'd first heard of the program in kadath's journal, decided it sounded awesome, and signed up.

I'll be reading Mistress of Mellyn, an old gothic romance being rereleased this year. It wasn't my first choice, or even in my top five, but hey--free books! I'm a bit concerned, as it was written forty-odd years ago, and what were acceptable conventions then are most certainly things that'll make me toss the book through the window now. But, I shall keep an open mind.

Hmmm...maybe this is LibraryThing's way of weeding people out. The first book you get is made of fail, but if you still read it and review it and come back for more, you're let into their secret good book group.
