I think what you are experiencing is what I call the Bakery Window Effect.
So you are standing out side the Bakery and you can see in the BIG window. You are cold, it looks warm inside. It is dark out here and it looks bright inside. People are talking and laughing and the sweets look wonderful. You are outside and THEY are inside.
Just so you know, there is no inside. Nope
And there is no way to get there.
What there is are people who are happy and way to busy to compare their lives to any one else's.
The problem with comparing you life (or any kind of experience for that matter)with any one else has to do with the insides and the out sides. You can only ever see from your inside, and no one else ever can. You can compare two other people, but never yourself to anyone else. Trying to do so is the most self destructive behavior I can think of at the moment, and Teens seem do it constantly.
