State of the Marshall clan ...

Last chance to take advantage of me and my writing abilities. Drabble it forward has not seen alot of action, but I've had time to do all the research I needed (shy one) for the request I have so far.

In other news, the apartment is shaping up slowly but surely. We've been taking things a chunk at a time here. We've dug out some (but nowhere near all, especially since I have no plates right now) of our dishes. We did find the pots in storage, which made me go WHEE! I've ended up running several loads of dishes as some of the pots were packed in boxes without being sealed and so when we found the first batch of earwigs, I made Robert go buy a hugeass bottle of dishwasher soap. We've also pulled over the rest of the bags of clothes that had just been bagged and stored from the house (not the basement, but the house). Washing has lead to drying and lead to hanging or folding up to go to Arc/Goodwill/Savers, whatever. Donations for overflow has become our motto.

Our accent wall, green, didn't turn out quite the color that we all saw on the strip they showed us, but isn't that always the way? Anyway, I look at it and all I can think about is either the Exorcist or ham. Kat will fix this soon when she puts up the Dragon fan on that wall.

Sadly, the enclosed patio aka sunroom did not turn into a computer room like Robert had been hoping for ... it gets too cold at night for any of us to be comfortable leaving the electronics out there and I'm not about to pay a heating bill to leave that door open and heat that room all the time. So, instead, we'll be having a chilly library and ritual room. (Which, frankly, is a-ok by me because YAY books!)

One of our major goals is to get damn near as much as possible out of storage by the end of the month so that we can downgrade sizes of storage unit. This way our bill will go down. Already, we've made a scary looking dent in it. Once we clear the path to the library, I expect the dent will get bigger.

Does anyone know where to purchase stuffie nets? (Nets that attach in the corners of ceilings and hold stuffed animals? We've been looking for one for years now and I'm about to the point where if I don't find one soon, I may have to figure out how to weave one myself.)

I'm sure there's something brilliant that I'm forgetting to mention, but I'm going to call it a day for now (at least on LJ) and toddle off to feeling better. (Oh, yeah, I'm recovering from Pink Eye and an obnoxious sore throat.)

TTFN!
