And it has begun
My birthday is off to a nice start. I woke up to freshly baked delicious flaky biscuits made by my sweet husband. We then proceeded to watch a movie called "Once." Stephen and I went to see it performed on stage last year and I loved the show so much that Stephen bought me a movie adaptation, which was just as good.
After that I've been on the phone most of the afternoon. Stephen reminded all of our Oklahoma friends that today was my birthday and so they've been calling me and it's been super fun hearing from everyone. I had a nice long chat with Sarah Redman. She's a bit farther along in her pregnancy and so it was fun catching up with all of that. Apparently Her and her husband recently bought a house as well. After speaking with Sarah for a while, I Skyped with Janessa. Then Rachael Werner and Anna Naylor and then Sarah Naylor and then Nathan Redman called me.
Stephen took me on a surprise drive and we ended up at this castle/mansion called the Nemicolin castle or something like that. It was really neat. We went on a tour and saw all the fun antiques and the progression of styles as the house was built on over time. It's as a lovely surprise and totally fascinating. We went to Hoss's for their delicious salad bar and shrimp scampi that I haven't had in years. It was superb. Just what I wanted! Then Stephen took me on another surprise drive and we ended up at a drive-in movie theater and we hung out there waiting for the sun to set and he brought delicious snacks and bubbles and we watched Despicable Me 3, which was entertaining. Happy Birthday to me =)
