Delicious Brownie Recipe, As Promised:

Raspberry Pomegranate Urfa-Biber Brownies
(adapted from an Alice Medrich recipe)

6 1/2 oz bittersweet chocolate
6 tbsp butter
1 C granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tbsp raspberry liquor
1 tsp pomegranate molasses
1 1/2 tbsp urfa-biber
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 C all-purpose flour

Preheat your oven to 350º.

Combine the chocolate, butter, and sugar in a double boiler until about 150º. Remove from heat, and stir in the urfa-biber, raspberry liquor, pomegranate molasses and salt. Stir in the eggs one at a time. Stir in the flour, and beat with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula for a minute or two, until thick and glossy.

Butter and flour a 9″ square baking pan. Pour in the batter.

Bake for 20 minutes.

Cool, cut into squares, and eat.
