I ended up watching my mum's DVD copy of
Must Love Dogs last night:

Oh....my...god...it was lame. It had it's cute moments but it was just bland and not very funny. I don't understand who this movie has such great actors/actresses in it and can be so lame.
John Cusak is phoning in his performance but everyone is is really trying hard to act to their best of their abilities in this film. It just must have been hard in a film that falls so flat.
I am glad I avoided this film for years and wish I had continued to avoid it. Hopefully, the two films I just picked up from the library, Young Adult and In Darkness, will wash this misfire of movie watching from my mind.
In other news: I got to Skype with my friend
Wendi today and that really boosted my mood. It is nice to just dish on movies/books/tv shows with someone who doens't find you utterly bizarre when you talk about them. We talked Clint Eastwood's bizarre speech at the RNC last night (both of us find it second-hand embarrassing and sad that someone, somewhere, told him it was great), Dances With Dragons by George R.R. Martin, True Blood, and life stuff we could reflect and laugh about (my horrible date and her annoying family members). So, that was fun!
I may or may not go to Pig Out At The Park this weekend. It just depends on if I can get down there. If I go I will try and "snap shot" a few things with my Sony Cybershot. If not, *shrugs*.
And with that, off I go to answer email/read/watch movies.
