Budapest blog update
Forgot to post this last night so Monday it is! And enjoy this past weeks update. It's fairly boring as the only thing that I really did exciting was on Saturday and a bit on Sunday :)
Monday March 18th
Well got up at 7am, ate breakfast and took a shower then went to class at 9:40am where I was taught stuff I once again, already know. That’s alright. It’s a good overview and comes from a different standpoint…and from a different country as well. Any who, after that, walked back to apartment, ate some lunch and then ventured out for a walk in the cold icy rain for about an hour. Came back to apartment and started working on research to better my presentation for Research in Social Policy about Carers of Mental Health Patients/Illnessess and what not. And my professor recommended me to get some outside source information and said for me to talk about Ronald Reagan since he had Alzheimer’s which I didn’t know so it’s been interesting to read more about the mental degenerative disease (ugly, ugly thing it is :( ). And during the whole time, been talking to my friend from Slovenia and man, does he make me laugh. Such a dork too. But I love him…friend wise. Jeez-pervs! :P
Tuesday March 19th
Well didn’t really do anything this day. Just worked on studying for a little bit and worked on presentation since I didn’t have class until 1:10pm…and then come to find out my 4:30pm class was cancelled O: Professor had a meeting with some big wigs of the University so I needed to find something to occupy myself…like work on my presentation and study :D so that’s pretty much all I did today.
Wednesday March 20th
Had class at 8am, walked back to apartment with my Irish friend where I there upon studied for my mid-term of Films and History which I had at 11:20am…then after I was done with the mid-term, had to return for the second part of the class so I just wondered around with a Turkish friend until the second part. After the second part got out at 2:30pm, went back to apartment to work on presentation for Research in Social Policies…and the presentation went well! :)
Thursday March 21st
Well thought it was Friday but then realized that I had a class at 11:20am so had to get ready for that. But after class, went food shopping! Now I can make me some yummy dinners :DD yeah short entry but nothing really exciting happened today. Oh besides the fact that it was super windy…again and super, freezing cold…again. *le sigh* Oh! Had fun talking to my Slovenian friend again and he sent me a bunch of pictures with his new, spiffy camera. They are now on a slide show for my desktop *grins*
Friday March 22nd
Woke up early, ate some breakfast, then just…chilled before I made a quesadilla for lunch. Then after that, went on a walk with my laptop ‘cause it was freezing cold outside and I wanted to go to Starbucks afterwards to work on some homework….and I’m having fun people watching. Especially considering the two conversations I’m listening into are all in English. BAHAHAHA :D And that was about it. Friday was pretty boring haha :DD
Saturday March 23rd
WENT HIKING :DDDDD For about three hours. Left the meeting point around 12:15pm, got to the last stop of the bus stop around 12:30pm and then went on hiking from there. I didn’t get back to my apartment until about 4:30pm. Was sooo much fun and took so many amazing photos :D Well I did and a couple people that were on the hike as well :D And then around 6pm, went to dinner with three Finnish girls who were on the hike with me (one of them was one who took pictures) so that was fun. :D And that was about it. Oh! And talked to my friend from Slovenia…again *grins*
Sunday March 24th
Remembered that F1 racing was on at 9am ‘cause my Slovenian friend told me so watched that while eating breakfast. Then I listened to it while doing laundry and taking a shower. Then after that went to lunch with a Korean friend around 11:30am and then we went for a walk around Margrit híd or Margaret Bridge for about an hour. Then after that I went to this place http://www.culinaris.hu/#shops because I’ve been trying to find marshmellows to roast over my gas burner and I found some! Woo! If I remember right, I think they’re like $3 or $4 though :( Also the same thing with the can of rootbeer I found >.o Any who, after that, came back to apartment ‘cause was gonna talk with ‘rentals at 4:30pm and we caught up on everything that needed to be done…like paying for my on campus housing and looking at what forms I needed to fill out for next school year. AND I’M STILL GRADUATING THIS FALL *flails* AAAAHHHHHHH! Any who…my battery in my watch died so emailed property manager to see where to go. So hopefully he will email me back tomorrow so I can get my watch running again. Woo! And that was about all. Oh and I tried to take my trash out but I think they moved the trash bins and I didn’t know where they moved them too since trash gets picked up Monday mornings. So…tomorrow.
