Weekly update
Hi-o! So here's this weeks update. It's actually fairly boring as I didn't do a whole lot. Maybe the week before school (this coming week) will be more exciting? Or even how about the first day of classes on the 4th of Feb? Obviously won't know until the days actually come.
Any who, the weekly update is below...like always ^-^
Monday January 21st
Didn’t really do anything this day. Just walked around to keep myself occupied in the afternoon and to get some exercise. But before that, had to go to OTP bank to top off my phone and then call a dentist where they speak English since I needed to get my teeth cleaned. Plack/tarter/etc. build up not good for my gums.
Tuesday January 22nd
Ventured onto the Buda side since I wanted to see where the dentist office was located. So I took the metro to the location and then on my way back, I took the tram across the Margrit bridge to the first stop on the Pest side. Then I walked back to my apartment. And that was about all that I did. Pretty boring these days *le sigh*
Wednesday January 23rd
Well, got up, made breakfast, went to Starbucks to hang out for a little bit before going back to apartment to eat some lunch, then headed over to the dentist office. Which was still amusing since I have to take the metro to get there. Any who, I get there and have to fill out the “new patient” form, turned it in and then waited…listening to a couple speak Hungarian and a lady talking to the receptionist in English. Then I was asked to follow someone into the back and talked to the hygienist (who I think was also a Dr.) who spoke fairly good English. Told him that I wanted a regular cleaning because I have deep pockets in my gums and want to make sure that nothing is wrong with them. And in the end, $133 later, all healthy! Though after they were done cleaning my teeth (which was a pain in the ear, since they used one of those cleaners that makes that high pitched noise), the credit card machine to pay for the visit wasn’t working…so the girl asked if I would come back since I didn’t have enough cash on me. So ended up going back to my apartment because that’s where the bank I have an ATM card with is located, then headed back to the dentist office to pay and did the same thing as Tuesday transportation wise to get back to apartment.
Thursday January 24th
Got up, went to the University to see if one of my professors from last semester was available to talk with. She wasn’t so went to the market next to Uni and got some apples. Then went back to the Uni to see if she was available again but she wasn’t soo decided to walk around for an hour in areas I haven’t walked in. Then walked back to apartment, ate some lunch, decided to go to Starbucks over at the Westend mall with a friend and that about sums up my Thursday. Haha
Friday January 25th
Well didn’t really do anything today. Couldn’t fall asleep until like two this morning but woke up at nine…then stayed in bed for about an hour, got up, had some breakfast, put away laundry (finally), took a shower, made lunch and then around 4pm went out for a walk for about an hour. Then came back and ate dinner. Watched Bridesmaids and that was about it. Was going to go out but after not being able to sleep in the morning and then not getting enough sleep, not the best combination.
Saturday January 26th
Didn’t really do anything. Slept in late, made lunch late, got together with a girl from France who just arrived the day/night before. We walked along Vaci utca (tourist street), then to Chain Bridge, then walked to Basilica, and then we to Starbucks to defrost and have some hot chocolate. Then we walked back to the Market by my Uni because that’s where she lives and I hopped on the tram back to my apartment. Once got back, ate some dinner and then just fiddled around on the computer until I went to bed.
Sunday January 27th
Didn’t get up until 10am, ate small breakfast, took a shower and started laundry. Then changed laundry, started lunch, changed laundry, ate lunch and then finished laundry. After that went out for a walk, came back to defrost and talked to parents. While talking to them, paid off graduation application fee (yay for $65 gone for graduation application processing and diploma >.o) so now I really have to graduate this fall! (Well I don't have to, just won't get my diploma until I finish all my courses, haha) Ate some dinner, washed dishes, took trash out and piddled around for a little bit then went to sleep.
