As I sit here, waxing the cat on my homework (which, after all, isn't due for a week...), I'm watching the 'breaking news' on one of the news channels.
They're showing the trial of Saddam Hussein. Now, if you've ever watched a trial, you know that the first day is full of garbage statements and ploys by the defence attorneys trying to get things delayed/postponed/ruled inadmissable. In other words, about as exciting as watching paint dry. I find myself wishing for a 'Law and Order' format, where they only display the exciting and relevant bits.
Mind you, it *is* interesting to see trial procedure from what is (to me) an unfamiliar legal system.
I'd rather be watching the Wallace and Gromit movie, though (huge grin). I cannot *wait* until that one is released on DVD. I'm sure we'll watch it at least thirty or forty times before we twig on all the jokes. ;o)
Guess I'd better get back to those cranial nerves and the historical linguistics.
