my main pc has a problem. it doesn't even power up for 3 seconds before resetting. initially, i thought the reset button had to be stuck. after disconnecting the reset button, i thought about switching the power and reset button - still no dice. i can only guess one of three things has happened. first, i could have spontaneously developed a short, but when that happens, usually it doesn't even boot up. second, i could have another toasted psu. somehow, that wouldn't surprize me, but it might make sense. the last, dead motherboard. i can't believe that this thing ran fine until i tried to shut it off. when it went to shut off, it came right back up and started this reset cycle thing. oh well, i need to get this figured out soon, so i'll be trying one of my spare psu's later.

oh yeah, i'm cutting all that long hair off. no ifs or buts. no polls. i'll be sure to take before and after pictures.
