First week (or so) in France! Cont'd

From 9am to 10.30am, we had a presentation by Rapheal on information about UTT, somehow, in the middle of the presentation, there was a fire drill. One thing interesting is that the ground floor is level 0, the one above is level 1. this is different from Singapore in that the ground level is known as level 1. Had a tour around the university so that we know where to head for our lessons. Lunch was at the University Restaurant. Each meal was Euro 2.85 and is typically French in that it comes with a salad, a cheese plate, a main course, a dessert and a bread. Lunch time is fixed every day and the whole of france to be from 12noon to 2pm.
At 2pm, i had my first lesson on French civilization. It was rather boring since it started all the way from the cradle, how the neanderthals (or something like that) moved to from Africa to Europe and blah blah... we had this course with a group of Americans who came from buffalo. this lesson lasted a whole 3 hours....
At 5pm, there was a presentation by students on exchange. Countries that presented included Taiwan, HK, Singapore and i think Cameroon.
Had dinner back in the hostel. I think we made sanwiches.
