  part 1

   part 2

   part 3

for those on dial-up, here's a transcript of the whole thing.  but i tell you, get thee to a broadband connection.

an aside:  ninja_assassin and manny, i havent forgotten you tagging me.  i promise to have that up :)

ETA:  as expected, few in the dinner were laughing.  Prez and First Lady were "unsmiling." truthiness hurts.  i personally laugh harder when a shiv is between my shoulderblades, people.  and like all things perceived to be shameful, conventional media decided not to talk about it, and bury the painful memories of being cut by satire.  they'd rather remember the Bush Impersonator with Bush trick to give them happier thoughts. anyhoo, here are more reviews from Crooks and Liars, The Moderate Voice, and Shakespeare's Sister(just because i can't resist showing you the entry title of "Stephen Colbert has Balls as Big as Church Bells").  If the New York Times and the Washington Post will keep quashing Truthiness, the bloggers won't. :)

ETAA: just watched The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.  Stewart's thoughts on Colbert's performance?  "Balls-a-licious." "...we've never been more proud of Stephen Colbert... Holy Shit!"  oh, and did i mention that he called him something of a captivating fellow?  *squee*
