RPG SUPERSTAR
So I entered the contest again. This is my third? go around. I didn't have time to do something special, but I thought my item had color and flavor, it's not anything brand new like I have done in past years. Then again, this year the contest was moved up. Traditionally it is in December, which gives me time to work on it (and it is when I expect to see it). Thankfully, the wife saw it started almost immediately after GenCon (it would have been nice to have seen something at Paizo's booth that was advertising the change). She only saw it with a week left to enter, and with Nic being the way he is (three hospital visits in that week), I barely had time to work on it.
Also this year, they aren't telling what the next round challenge is until the round starts. A departure that is going to stress some people out (it's nice to be prepared even if you don't make the cut in the round). Still, it's fun to do this, and who knows. It might get me a little publicity for my other projects.
So, if you want, go to Paizo's website and vote for the best magic items. By the rules of the contest, I cannot say what is mine (until the round is over) or I get disqualified.
Maybe I'll even post my own item up here later (technically also against the contest rules, but if they don't use it, I fail to see the problem).
