2018 lasted a fucking century. It just went on and on forever. it probably didn't help that it was my second year in a row taking less than 10 days off work (besides federal holiday closures). This is going to change in 2019. It has to because I have a new job and I have time off days that are like, about 3 weeks, that are use it or lose it. I think my work hours are going to be longer too, so who knows what my 2019 reading list is going to look like, but my 2018 reading list is done.
I read
- 24 books
- 2,303 fic at about 20 million (ish) words
- Per my comparison shorthand I use, that's 42.6 reads of the whole Lord of the Rings trilogy (473k words)
I read 6 more books and a million more words of fic than I did in 2017. I don't even know how.
