Mega korean pop idol 비(rain) is comming to Madison Square Garden. Mum read it in a newspaper, and asked me if we should buy tickets to support the korean celeb, even if his music is total crap, which it is, in my opinion. Yeah, I listen to pop, but even if I fangirl the guys in certain bands, I do have standards. I can name possibly 5 pop songs that I'd freely admit to loving, and all 5 of them are songs that could be covered by a decent rock band, no problem. And they have to sound awesome. I don't like the standard pop crap, especially songs that sound like every other.
I haven't heard much 비, but of the songs I have heard, I'd label him under standard pop. Kinda like a male BoA. *shudders*
Anyways, I explained that there was no need to dich out money on medicore musicians, there are plenty of US fans. Apparently, I went a bit too indepth on my explanation on why he really isn't worth it, and she started looking at me strangely.
Hm.
I wonder if I can use her strong nationalism if/when Seo Taiji ever comes to the US.
*I just orgasmed over a pair of boots. Holy shit are those things awesome. Why can't I live in fucking europe? It's away from Bush, they are visited by awesome rock bands far more frequently than the US, they have the better bands there, and they have awesome knee high boots with a platform of about a foot. With buckles. Oh gods the buckles. There are like 20 of them and damn they're hot. Me wantssssss.
