Kings lost. Wah. This is why
I've said I never predict games. You just never know! It's just a shame they couldn't close it out at home because the long-suffering Kings fans deserve to see their team on top after so many years of loyalty. They said on TV that there were about 100 people there who have been season ticket holders all 45 years of the franchise. I'd rather they didn't lose their streak of away game wins just so they could come back and try again at home, so I have to hope they can just finish this in Game 5. I did have some extra time yesterday, so I took a quick trip over to L.A. Live to see the activity around noontime, and it was already rockin' in Downtown, both with Kings fans and all the gamers there for E3 across the street from Staples. I am always curious why people take the east 10 to Downtown when they can just scoot across town on Jefferson.
There was a nice
article in the LA Times the other day about how the Kings players call the beach cities of the South Bay their home and how they're part of the community and all that. My brother says his friends see them around there all the time. A lot of pro sports people live around there. My bro himself has seen Landon Donovon and other Galaxy players in Manhattan Beach. My grandmother, though, only sees David Beckham in Westwood/Brentwood. I bet their practices next season, if they remain open to the public, will be crazy.
Ellen Page and Alexander Skarsgard went to Wednesday's Kings game together, too. Adorable.
And one last sports note: c'mon Celtics! Tonight's game should be really exciting.
THR photoshoot for TV's Supporting Players. Love the
behind-the-scenes pics.
A few new pics from The Dark Knight Rises.
No, I didn't mean you, Batmanuel.
Captain America 2 has two new directors.
Official word has finally come that
The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon has been cancelled. :-( But what will I do without sassy Hawkeye? And we're just getting to the Winter Soldier stuff in EMH, too. :-(
Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson will take part in a cooking competition show. Don't know how I feel about this. Love Bourdain and Nigella (points to icon), but not as keen on competitions.
