Been rather distracted and not really in the mood to post lately. My father is back in the hospital. They had to amputate a few of his toes, and they may need to take more of his leg. We're currently in wait-and-see mode about that. :-\
The NCAA Tournament is over, and the championship was rather disappointing. I wasn't rooting for UCONN, but they definitely deserved the win because Butler played terrible basketball. But I think I'm most thankful that they went back to the traditional "One Shining Moment." I think I remember ranting last year about how wrong it was cut away from the tournament highlights to show Jennifer Hudson lip-syncing in the studio. "One Shining Moment" is not about the singer, it's a love letter to the tournament. This year, they gave us the Luther Vandross version of the song, which was nice. The Teddy Pendergrass version is still my favorite, but Luther is always welcome. :-D
OMG,
watch the first 15 minutes of Game of Thrones. I AM EXCITE YES I AM.
And this week, the
Game of Thrones food truck is in town! Keep up with where it will appear on their
twitter account. Hopefully they'll be closer to me sometime later this week.
I also caught the first two episodes of Camelot. Creepy Merlin is creepy. Uhhhh, Team Morgan, anyone? ::waves flag:: I also approve of Leontes and Kay, though Arthur is funny.
And The Borgias reminds me a bit of The Tudors, that same slightly trashy period intrigue. I always like Jeremy Irons, but it's really
Cesare and Lucrezia that hold most of my attention, while I occasionally admire Colm Feore's lovely bone structure.
