HTC-Columbia rider Mark Renshaw was kicked out of the Tour de France for head-butting another rider at the sprint during Stage 11. Here's the video, and here's everyone's responses to what went down. While the overhead video from Versus shows that Julian Dean was drifting over and move his elbow a bit, but it wasn't nearly enough to deserve three head-butts then more blatantly doing to Tyler Farrar exactly what he claimed Dean was doing to him! Tyler had to push the swerving Renshaw away before he met the barrier. I hope Cavendish enjoyed his tainted win. Also in Stage 11, Thor lost his green jersey, regained it in 12, then lost it again today! And even worse, a federal investigation will be looking into Lance Armstrong and his former US Postal associates about doping.
My mom and I have decided that if we ever go to see the British Open at St. Andrews, we will camp out at the 17th hole with that crazy bunker and watch everyone double bogey and curse. Oh the carnage! ;-)
Thankfully, LJ updated their news post on purging inactive accounts. Here are the details on what they consider inactive accounts. The main thing is: only accounts that have no entries, or have only the initial welcome entry, will be purged. If they'd only said that in the first place, people wouldn't have freaked out, but when does LJ ever do the sensible thing? ;-)
I know it's just for fun, but I would think twice before doing the "I Write Like" meme. I recommend reading zia_narratora's We All Write Like White Men, and Jim Macdonald has some information on who is behind the generator. The creator of the generator only added women writers as options after people complained, but he apparently did not add writers of color to the list.

I suppose one of these days I'll have to get around to seeing Inception. I hadn't realized I've seen all of Nolan's feature films but one. And all in theatres, too. And I looooooove JGL, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy and Ken Watanabe. Also, Tom Hardy's oddest dream is hilarious and hey look, a prequel comic!

I talk about so many different things in every post that it would probably be overkill to tag for every little reference, but I'll try to be a bit more thorough in the future for searching purposes. I mean, considering how often I've mentioned people like Christina Hendricks, Idris Elba and Chris Pine, you'd think I'd have tags for them, but I shall remedy that immediately!
