Re: Game 3 of the NBA Finals. WE LOVE YOU D-FISH!
Rafa went to Disneyland Paris with his French Open trophy. :-D
OMG, the
Adidas World Cup ad. Snoop Dogg, Daft Punk, and other random people in the Mos Eisley Cantina from Star Wars! I still love the
Nike ad, too.
USA Network has greenlit a pilot for Common Law, a buddy cop show about LAPD partners sent to couples therapy to revive their professional relationship.
So, I was looking at
this post of Steven R. McQueen pictures, then clicked back to my own LJ which randomly showed my
Magnificent Seven header with Steven's granddad! Steve in that pic has almost the same expression as
Steven in this picture.
Last night I dreamt that I was attending a wedding with a friend. At the reception my friend got a skewer with watermelon, and this guy came up and snatched the skewer from her hand and tossed it onto the floor. We both exclaimed, the guy walked away and we lost him in the crowd. When my friend then got some pineapple, the guy appeared again and knocked it out of her hand. I gave him my right hook, then walked away myself. Later on, I bumped into Dr. Hank Lawson from Royal Pains and we talked about his co-hosting stint on The Today Show the other day.
Glee
Overall, I enjoyed the finale. The birth scene interspersed with Bohemian Rhapsody was cleverly done. I love that Quinn asked Mercedes to be with her. I'd also been wishing for more of Quinn/Mercedes/Kurt BFFness this season, but at least we got that cute three-way hand-holding at the end.
I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised that Shelby adopted Quinn's baby, since she kept talking about wanting a little baby and not a young woman like Rachel, but I was surprised. People seem to like to dislike Rachel, but she's had a pretty crappy few weeks. Her boyfriend dumped her, she got egged, and her mother rejected her again, instead choosing a younger model. If you're pregnant and can't take care of the child, giving it up for adoption is fair. I"m okay with getting a second chance with that child, if the child is okay with that. But barely making an effort, then giving up a second time is just ridiculous. You didn't want me when you didn't know me, and now that you do know me, you really don't want me? Thanks a lot bio mom. You may not think Rachel needs you, but she thinks she needs you and wants you there, too. Anywho, enough about Shelby because I usually try not to think too hard about this show. I tend to categorize it as something of a 50's sitcom wherein characterization is easily sacrificed for a Lesson or a song or a sob. So, consistency and reality can go out the window, and I can still enjoy the music and the funny lines.
Emma's back, being fierce today and dating a nice dentist. Good for her. Don't be swayed by Will! And Finn, please don't use Will as a model for the type of man you want to be! If only you knew he planted weed on you to blackmail you into joining the club! And you've already had the kissing girls that aren't your girlfriend down pat since the pilot, too.
But I did enjoy "To Sir, With Love," mostly because I love that song. I saw Lulu perform the song again not that long ago. She still looks great.
KURT IN A SAILOR HAT OMG.
What came as no surprise was Sue voting for New Directions, them losing anyway, then Sue giving them another year. Totally predictable, but I still totally approve. It's like the Bad News Bears and Rocky! And it doesn't matter if Sue is being awful or not-so-awful, I love her.
Anywho, see you next season, Glee! As long as you continue to have good songs, Sue Sylvester and Brittany, I'm there. We could do with more Mike, though.
