NBC has U.S. television rights to the Olympics only up to the London Games in 2012, but
who will carry the Games after that is still up in the air. I would be interested in ESPN, Inc. taking over after that because then the Olympics would be broadcast on ESPN on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, ESPN360 online, the upcoming ESPN 3D (which will launch for the World Cup), and who knows what other stations they're associated with. They actually air sports LIVE, unlike NBC. I had to watch all the figure skating, bobsled, and so many other events through various livestreams, sometimes in languages I couldn't identify, so I didn't have to wait until the tape delayed prime-time West Coast coverage.
So, after expressing interest in competing on Dancing with the Stars,
Evan Lysacek has officially signed on. Other contestants? ASTRONAUT BUZZ ALDRIN?! Reno 911's Niecy Nash, too! The strongest contenders look like Evan and Nicole Scherzinger because they're both familiar with choreography.
After all the Olympic excitement, I'm finding it a little hard to summon my usual enthusiasm for the new episodes of Chuck and Law & Order tonight. I am, however, extremely excited about tomorrow's BRAND-SPANKIN' NEW EPISODE OF SOUTHLAND!!!!! NEW COOPER & SHERMAN ADVENTURES ON PATROL!!! NEW DETECTIVE LYDIA ADAMS KICKING CRIMINAL BUTT!!! WILL CHICKIE GET CLOSER TO HER DREAM OF JOINING SWAT?!? WILL DEWEY GET HIMSELF TOGETHER?!? I DON'T KNOW BUT I CAN'T WAIT TO FIND OUT!!
The only new thing I missed over the past few weeks was the last episode of White Collar, though I DVRed it. Is it good? Will I like it?
Burn Notice from two weeks ago wasn't one of the stronger episodes, but last week's was really good, and the end made me a little sad. The preview for this week's season finale worried me a bit, though.
New pictures from the set of Leverage!
Lookin' good, Aldis! And
Aldis & Beth being adorable!
Uh-oh!
f_march_madness starts up again tomorrow. It's fun, but by the end, I was starting to get a little tired of seeing the huge banners for it everywhere.
OMG, look at this
duck imitating flamingos at the zoo.
Also of the OMG,
iconzicons recently posted
icons for that recent random cracky Old Spice commercial. "It's an oyster with two tickets to that thing you love. Look again, the tickets are now ~DIAMONDS~."
